Chemical Peels-A Gateway to Beautiful Skin

CHEMICAL PEELS: The skin becomes parched and damaged due to many changes in the weather and climate particularly during cold weather conditions. This is because during winter the temperature decreases and there is less atmospheric moisture than what our skin requires causing to collapse our skin. There is a sensation of itchiness making the skin rigid and stiff. These types of conditions are found almost in all places during winter and in places with minimum temperature.

Water is the main key to make your skin radiant. We should stay hydrated as it avoids puffiness of the skin as well as use better skin products. Chemical peel is a technique which is used to enhance the skin. It also restores, renew and rejuvenate the skin. Many types of pigmentation can be treated using chemical peels.

Lactic Peel Makes You Look Younger And Radiant :

We at Dr. Venus Clinic use the lactic peel to make a person look brighter. Lactic peels are suitable for a beginner as it can be performed on any skin type. Prior to lactic peel, a normal cleansing lotion is applied to clean the face and to be free from the foreign agent like oil, dirt, make-up, pollutants, dead skin cells and to unclog pores. Soon after cleansing the face we use lactic 10%, lactic20%, lactic30%, lactic40% depending upon the skin type. We are also careful about the redness caused due to peel because some have sensitive skin. Based on pigmentation, the time of peel varies from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. Once the peel is removed, sunscreen is applied for protection against the rays of the sun. Subsequently, the skin looks dazzling after 2-3 days when the superficial skin chip out. After peel only mild or mineral based makeup may be done. Strong makeup and facial must be strictly avoided.

Types of CHEMICAL PEELS:

When you are recommended a chemical peel by a specialist when your skin is already parched it looks odd to you but peel helps to make it look beautiful, hydrated, and glowing. The chemical peel eliminates the layer of the skin which alters the proteins and other tissue of the skin. The peel upgrades the spoilt skin due to pigmentation and harmful rays of the sun. It also makes the skin smooth.

1.Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) Peel / Lactic Acid Peel

The lactic acid in our body benefits us in numerous ways. One such function is to construct collagen. Collagen is a protein found in our skin and other connective tissue. It provides fairness and elasticity to the skin. Hence the lactic peel gets rid of the top layer of the skin and develops collagen thereby naturally making the skin glow.

2.Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Peels :

BHA peels chiefly constitute salicylic acid. It is used in general for oily or acne skin type. BHA peel is oil soluble and reaches deeper than lactic.

3.Retinoic Acid Peel :

As the name suggests, retinoic acid is used for the skin. Retinoic acid changes the dull skin to look youthful and attractive. It restores Collagen, obstructs the growth of unfriendly bacteria and re-establishes the immune system making the skin look healthy.

4.Modified Jessner’s Peel :

In our clinic we use Jessner’s peel which consists of salicylic acid, lactic acid, citric acid and kojic acid. All of these help to regenerate the skin.

5.Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) 10%-35%:

The TCA peel is used for skin with high pigmentation. It upgrades the skin and works on wrinkles too.
